Creating a lasting legacy

As part of the Telford 50 legacy programme we wanted to create a lasting digital record of some of Telford’s favourite buildings.

The 50 Buildings Project uses digital scanning to create virtual tours of 50 local buildings. As well as being a new online resource for residents, schools, visitors and community organisations, the tours will also help to promote Telford’s heritage, record the condition of buildings and support funding bids.

The results of the public suggestions

As part of the project we asked local residents and organisations to suggest which buildings they felt were iconic in the borough or had special relevance to their communities. This website will showcase through the 50th year those buildings that made it onto the final 50 list.
